Look at me...I'm Jumpin!! (July 08)

Jarred's attempts at jumping...not quite off the ground. We won't tell him that though :)

Summer Fun

Jarred had a long, fun summer. Here are some pics. Enjoy!

Jarred loves his ice cream!

Jarred and his cousin Ethan getting to know each other.
Jarred thought he wanted to be a baby again so he could play in his exersaucer.
Jarred and his friend (our neighbor) Christopher. One of their favorite rides is when the Daddies push them around the yards in the wheelbarrow.
The summer really pooped him out :)

OBX June 08 - Jarred in the Waves

Here is a short video of Jarred's favorite game at the beach...chasing the waves.

OBX June 08

Jarred went on his first vacation to the Outer Banks this past summer. We stayed at a beach house in Corolla, NC with Nana, Pop, Tayl, Hannah, Ian, Great Grandma (Gigi) and Great Grandpa. We knew the trip would be long and intense (8 hrs) so we split it up and stopped in Williamsburg, VA. Here are a couple of pics of Taylor and Hannah in the stocks (who knows how to spell that?).

On our second day of driving, we stopped at a little farmers market to pick up some produce. Jarred discovered his new love of watermelons with Nana!

The first day at the beach Jarred wasn't too sure what to think of the sand or the water.

But he sure didn't feel that way for long! He had so much fun digging and sitting in the sand (eating quite a bit of it too). He also loved chasing the water as the waves rolled in and out.

Our beach house had a nice pool. Jarred thinks he needs one of these at our house too! He will have to settle for the public pool.

This is how Daddy relaxed on the walk back to the beach house after a long day at the beach.

No day at the beach is complete without ice cream! Nana spoiled Jarred with his first ice cream cone. I guess that's what Nana's are for :)

They had these really cool hammock swings. Maybe someday I will have one of my own :)

We even got Great Grandpa down to the beach a few days. He actually took wore his bathing suit and took his socks and shoes off...one day. Most days, this was his beach attire...silly Great Grandpa.

We took advantage of having the whole family at the beach and had a professional photographer take some family photos. Here are a few that Dan and I took. Maybe someday we will get some of the professional pics up here too...don't hold your breath too long though!

..

Jarred really had a blast on his first vacation to the beach!

Longwood Gardens 5/25

We took a trip to Longwood Gardens in Kennet Square, PA in May. This is where Jarred discovered his love of playing in water fountains!

I think Jarred really wanted to climb in some of those fountains!

He also loved "smelling" the flowers. Though his way of smelling the flowers was more like eating them. Oh well, we kept him away from the poisonous ones :)

Motorcycle Baby

Jarred's Grandad and Grammy have taken up riding motorcycles. So, of course, Grandad had to get Jarred sitting on the motorcycle. I think Grandad is hopeful for a future ride with his grandson but Mommy will never let that happen...well maybe when Jarred is 30.
Of course Uncle Ian had to get in on the motorcycle excitement too!

So Far Behind...

I apologize that we haven't posted in so long. So I will try and get caught up in a few separate posts. We have had a very busy spring/summer. The early spring started off with Jarred's first Yankees game. Of course Dan had to get Jarred to Yankee Stadium this season since it is the last season in the stadium. The game kept Jarred's attention for about 3 innings and then he had enough, but not before we got some good pics :)
Jarred loves hot dogs!
