Please Take a Moment and Say a Prayer for Baby Stellan

I'm not sure how many people actually look at this blog, but I wanted to take a minute to tell you about a very special baby that is going to be delivered tomorrow. His name is Stellan and he is the 4th baby for a woman named MckMama (obviously a blog nickname for privacy). Anyway, at 20 weeks MckMama and her family were given the news that baby Stellan was very sick with major heart problems and would not live much longer inside of her...that was 13 weeks ago. They are a very strong family in their faith truly believing that God holds everything in his hands and will guide their family through this journey. Well, surprisingly enough, the most recent evaluations of baby Stellan in his mommy's belly have been great and he is actually 36 weeks along now and will be delivered by C-section tomorrow morning surrounded by a very loving family and a set of very skilled doctors. The doctors are still unsure how baby Stellan will do outside the womb once he is born. Please pray for this family and their special baby as they go through this exciting and very scary time tomorrow. If you want to know more about this family you can visit MckMama's blog at http://www.mycharmingkids.net/. Also if you happen to read this somewhat real time, there is a prayer vigil happening tonight on the eve of baby Stellan's birth and tomorrow on his birthday. Please feel free to join in vigil on this blog http://ethanzachemma.blogspot.com/2008/10/prayer-vigil-for-mck-mama.html.

Having Fun at the Park

We went to the park today to get some much needed outside time after yesterday's yucky weather. The jungle gyms were dry for the most part (and the slides that weren't daddy dried with his sleeve...we love daddy). There are some old school toys at this playground too. We were surprised that Jarred knew how to make the spring toys go. His favorite thing to do is to go down the slides though. He is surprisingly our little daredevil.

"Red Tomato"

Tonight at dinner Jarred wanted to eat tomatoes. Every time he tried to say 'tomato' it sounded more like 'mickey mouse'. When we tried to get him on video, this is what we got.

Moonbounce and Apples

Jarred's buddy Chris has a really cool moonbounce. They love playing on it! Last weekend Chris' daddy set up the moonbounce just for Jarred while Chris ate his dinner inside. Can anyone say spoiled? :)
I mentioned in my last post that Jarred has discovered his love of apples. All he wants to eat are apples now and not cut up apples...whole apples. It takes him like 45 minutes to finish an apple, but he eats the whole thing!

Jarred is getting really good at knowing parts of his body. He loves to show off for us. This video was taken during the Penn State football game today which is why the college cheers are in there too :)

Pumpkin Patch 10/08

We went to a nice pumpkin patch 2 weekends in a row. The first weekend we went with our neighbors and their 19 mo old, Christopher. Jarred and Chris had a lot of fun in the preschool corn "maze".

The next weekend we went back to the same pumpkin patch with Taylor, Hannah, Ian, Kathy and Ethan. This time we went through the big kid corn maze that was actually a maze. We also discovered Jarred's love for apples. We ate some yummy honey crisp apples. I think Jarred had a bite of everyone's apple at some point.
