My sister, Taylor, turns the big 12 today. We're sorry we couldn't be there this weekend to celebrate with you. Though, I'm sure you didn't want to get sick as a present from us :) We hope you have a great day and will see you soon to give you your gift. We're very proud of the young lady you have become and we love you very much! Jarred says, "Happy Birthday, Aunt Tay!"

Today is Dan's birthday and he got the lucky job of staying home with a sick Jarred. Jarred got sent home from daycare yesterday with a fever so he wasn't allowed to go in today. Good excuse for daddy right? :) I just wanted to take the opportunity to say Happy Birthday, Dan! You are a wonderful husband and great father. I couldn't ask for anything more. I love our life we have created together and can't wait to see where the road leads us in the future. Thank you for everything you are and everything you do. Happy Birthday! I love you with all my heart!

The Best in Baby Scrapbooking...

Daddy's 30th Bday Party

Dan's 30th birthday is coming up in a few days so we had the Housten clan and Grant and Kim up for a little celebration. Dan got a new camera from his parents which was much needed since a certain someone (definitely not me :)) fell in the ocean with ours when we were in the OBX this summer. It is a very nice camera and I can really tell a difference in picture quality. Anyway, here are some pics from the gathering all post cake and gifts unfortunately. Oh, and I got some wonderful videos of people while playing the wii tonight. I will post those tomorrow as soon as I figure out how :)

We had a good week this past week...busy as usual. Dan took Jarred to get his hair cut early this week. He looks like such a little man these days. I can't believe how fast he is growing right before my eyes...Dan too :) Here's a cute pic of Jarred and his spikey hair. It's still a bit too long to spike, but I couldn't resist.


Dan caught Jarred and I on video tonight having fun dancing to SCC's Live Out Loud. Enjoy! (and yes if you listen close enough you can hear me singing so cover your ears!)

MckMama and Baby Stellan Update

I just wanted to give a quick update for those of you who are interested and haven't checked out MckMama's blog linked a couple of posts down. Well, baby Stellan was born a happy, healthy baby last Wednesday. The pediatric cardiologists say the only thing they see as even a hint that Stellan had a heart issue is that his heart is still slightly enlarged, but that should hopefully change over time to the normal size. In fact, MckMama and baby Stellan were discharged from the hospital today! God is good!

Burritos, Pumpkins and Trick or Treat

Dan and I carved our pumpkins this week after Jarred went to bed one night. It has been a little tradition for us since we have been married. We were going to have Jarred carve his pumpkin one night this week too but we ran out of time. Dan actually chose both carvings and I think he did a great job.

The whole Housten clan came up to our house for Trick or Treat this year. Jarred and his cousin Ethan went Trick or Treating together and had lots of fun. Jarred's buddy Chris also hit a few houses with us. Jarred was Pluto from the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse for Halloween. He wasn't too keen on having that big head on top of his though. We had to bribe him with m&m's to get him to start trick or treating. But once he got the hang of getting candy from the houses he became a pro at "Tick Teat" as he said.
I also had to throw this last picture in there too. We had burritos one night for dinner and Jarred just felt the need to have one too. mmmm Mexican food :)
